Maurice Wutscher Opens Cleveland Office

National financial services law firm Maurice Wutscher LLP has opened a new office in Cleveland, hiring attorney Allison Hayes to lead the firm’s Cleveland litigation matters. This brings the number of offices of Maurice Wutscher to 13.

Hayes will practice in the firm’s Commercial Litigation and Consumer Credit Litigation groups, joining Maurice Wutscher’s skilled team of attorneys focused on defense of the financial services industry in offices throughout the United States.

In addition to Cleveland, Maurice Wutscher has offices in Austin, Boston, Chicago, Cincinnati, Flemington, Indianapolis, Miami, New York, Philadelphia, San Diego, San Francisco and Washington, DC.

Allison Hayes

Before joining Maurice Wutscher, Hayes successfully defended clients in multiple venues across the nation, including Alabama, California, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Maryland, Michigan, Mississippi, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia. She focused on representing small and large businesses across a broad spectrum of litigation, transactional matters, and regulatory compliance. She also has experience working on complex corporate litigation matters including patent infringement, intellectual property, and insider trading cases.

Hayes received her Juris Doctorate from the University of Akron School of Law, graduating cum laude. While in law school, she served as executive editor of the Akron Law Review.  Her law review article “How Doninger v. Niehoff Shows the Supreme Court Needs to Address Student Speech in the Cyber Age,” 43 Akron L. Rev. 247 (2010) has been cited in various scholarly journals at least 14 times. Also while in law school, Allison gained valuable first-chair trial experience at the City of Akron Prosecutor’s Office and the Legal Defender Office of Summit County.

Hayes holds a B.S. in Psychology and Sociology from Otterbein College, graduating magna cum laude and earning four varsity letters as part of Otterbein’s nationally-ranked women’s golf team.

She is admitted to practice law in Ohio and the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Ohio.
