Collections has undergone a change – even if most media representations still seem to suggest that debt collectors are out to intimidate and bully consumers.

Today, debt collection benefits from a customer service mentality. As Danielle, account manager for JCC Medical Collections, explained, “Collections, for me, is really more about problem solving. It’s a chance to actually listen to what is being said, and helping the consumer resolve their issue.”

Danielle has been with JCC Medical for over six years, and over that time “I’ve really learned to love and respect what I do.”

Of course, it wasn’t always easy…
