CEANNATE Corp., a BPO firm focused on the education sector, has established a Board of Advisors with expertise in higher education, policy development and finance. Former Secretary of Education Margaret Spellings will serve as its Chairperson.
“Every day, CEANNATE employees strive to help students and families who are burdened by escalating tuition debt understand their options and make wise financial decisions,” said Balaji Rajan, CEANNATE Corp. CEO. “We do this despite an ever-changing regulatory environment. Our goal in establishing an Advisory Board is to engage with leaders like Secretary Spellings who have a long track record of collaborating with others and solving problems. As we’ve grown as a company, and do more with more students, we felt the time was right to secure the perspective of those who have previously shaped policy and programs as Washington enters the next phase of policy-making. We look forward to working with all stakeholders to find solutions for students and families. With the assistance of the Advisory Board, CEANNATE Corp. looks forward to sharing the lessons we have learned in the field and contributing to the national debate.”
The Board of Advisors will provide strategic guidance and policy direction to CEANNATE Corp. as it seeks to advance its mission to help students and families better understand and manage the financial responsibilities associated with attending college.
“Students and families are asking the right questions about the value and affordability of higher education and how best to manage college expenses,” said former Education Secretary Margaret Spellings. “Private sector leaders like CEANNATE are responding to these needs in innovative ways. Success will be measured by more people completing college with reduced levels of debt and I am proud to be working with CEANNATE as they help confront the challenges so many students face.”
The new Advisory Board members are:
- The Honorable Margaret Spellings, President of the George W. Bush Presidential Center and former U.S. Secretary of Education
- The Honorable John McKernan, Jr., Senior Advisor, U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation, former Governor of Maine and former Member of Congress
