Firstsource Solutions Among Top 3 global Recruiters at the ERE 2009 Recruiting Excellence Award

Mumbai, India — Firstsource Solutions Ltd was recognized among the top 3 companies globally at the ERE 2009 Recruiting Excellence Awards in the “Best Recruiting Department of the Year” category. Firstsource shared the Finalist position with Microsoft. The award was conferred at a ceremony in San Diego, USA.

The finalists for the award were chosen by an eminent nine-member jury from a list of 160 companies from more than 27 countries that had participated.. There were 8 categories covering various aspects of Recruiting and Employer Branding and participants included prominent organizations such as Accenture, E&Y, KPMG, Wipro, TCS, IBM, Yahoo and the American Cancer Society. In conferring the award the judges remarked, "Firstsource has an extremely strong recruiting department. We liked their innovative usage of new sourcing methodologies and creative use of traditional methods such as employee referrals."

The Recruitment Van, reached out to job seekers in and around Mumbai. It was a novel attempt to go to the jobseekers rather than wait for them to apply to the company.
