Lee has been appointed General Counsel & Senior Vice President of Compliance and Human Resources.
“Bringing an attorney in-house to closely monitor our business operations and ensure legal compliance in all areas of the company is another way we are maintaining our high ethical standards in collecting for our clients,” said Patrick J. Swanick, Chief Executive Officer of Gila Corp. Lee will oversee all areas of risk for the company, provide advice and counsel to the Board of Directors, Officers, and management staff in matters of corporate law and collections under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA). In addition, he will manage all Human Resource functions.

Before joining Gila Corp, Lee practiced law with Smith, Robertson, Elliott, Glen, Klein & Bell, LLP in Austin, Texas. Prior to that, he was an associate with Fulbright & Jaworski LLP in Dallas, Texas. Lee earned his law degree from Baylor University School of Law in Waco, Texas, and he obtained a Bachelor of Arts from Clemson University in South Carolina.
