Representatives from I.C. System recently met with Minnesota State Senator Chris Gerlach at I.C. System Headquarters in St. Paul, MN. Members of the I.C. System Executive Group were also in attendance during the visit which included a tour of the home offices of the 73-year old collections industry company.
“We really appreciate the Senator taking time to come out and get an inside view of our operations. We are proud of what we do. Our industry plays a vital role in our economy,” said John Erickson, President of I.C. System.
“This interim between legislative sessions is the time to get out and visit Minnesota businesses and employers such as I.C. System,” said Senator Gerlach. “This is how we as legislators learn firsthand how various industries work and the challenges they face in this difficult economy.”
I.C. System also appreciates the involvement of the Minnesota Association of Collectors and ACA International the Association of Credit and Collection Professionals. Their efforts, along with Tom Gavinski, Vice President of Business Development at I.C. System, helped create the opportunity for this visit. ACA and MAC help Minnesota’s economy by supporting collections businesses that help return significant dollars back to area companies.
Visits such as this continue the necessary open dialogue between government and private industry which can go far in strengthening and refining the legislation that oversees industries such as the credit and collections industries.
I.C. System, a privately owned company founded in 1938, provides accounts receivable management services for 20,000 clients within many industries, including healthcare, financial services, retail, utility, and communications. Headquartered in St. Paul, I.C. System has offices in Iowa, North Dakota, and Wisconsin.
