Normally, people think of debt collectors reaching into consumer’s wallets. But in the case of one local collection agency, it’s the collectors reaching into their own billfolds to benefit the community.

National Recovery Service (NRS), a collection agency located in Ottawa, is pleased to reveal the winner of November’s drawing; KVC Behavioral Healthcare will receive a check for $800.00 today.  NRS employee Jade Hernandez of Ottawa, KS chose this not for profit agency so that Christmas gifts can be provided for children that will be living in group and foster homes throughout Franklin County this holiday season.  NRS has already adopted two children for Christmas through KVC as a team and are humbled to be able to help support a local organization that makes such an impact on children in our community every day.

Collector’s For Change allows all employees the opportunity to donate their loose change to benefit various charities.  NRS will then match the monthly total: dollar for dollar.  The charity of choice will be decided each month by a drawing. Every Month each collector will select their favorite charity and each month a drawing will be held to determine which charity will receive all of the funds.

“It is our dedicated and considerate team that inspired ‘Collector’s For Change’ and we want to give them a fun way to donate what they can, when they can,” said Dekraai, who is a firm believer that miracles do not necessarily require divine intervention.
