PR - Genpact's Tyagarajan Recognized by FAO Today

Genpact (NYSE: G) Executive Vice President Tiger Tyagarajan was one of four individuals recognized this week by FAO Today magazine for outstanding accomplishment in finance & administrative outsourcing, the magazine has announced. Genpact manages business processes for companies around the world. Genpact operates service delivery centers in India, China, Hungary, Mexico, the Philippines, the Netherlands, Romania, Spain and the United States.

FAO Today covers the $39 billion finance and administrative outsourcing industry and distributes to more than 22,000 financial executives interested in globalization and best-in-class operational strategies. A total of six awards, recognizing the outstanding accomplishments of four executives and two organizations were announced at this month’s FAO Today ONE Conference for Finance and Procurement Globalization in Atlanta.

FAO Today assembled an independent selection committee comprised of industry participants who carefully reviewed dozens of companies and hundreds of executives in both captive and outsourced environments and recognized the best and the brightest. 

According to Elliot Clark, CEO of FAO Today, “The committee felt that the accomplishments of VN ‘Tiger’ Tyagarajan required the recognition of a special category because the success of Genpact is unprecedented. The leadership team has led one of the most successful corporate spin-offs in history. As executive vice president and global head of sales and marketing, Tiger is a key contributor to Genpact leadership. Genpact has had impressive growth in sales and developed an impressive and immediately recognizable global brand. This year the company achieved the largest IPO in FAO industry’s history in spite of turbulent equity markets because investors recognized that the Genpact value proposition and its incredible leadership team were destined to produce long-term value for customers and shareholders. Tiger is a key part of that team, and our selection committee wanted to single him out for this award.”

Other 2007 FAO Today Magazine individual award recipients were:

• Kevin Campbell, Group CEO, Accenture BPO Services – Global Executive of the Year
• Eric Selvadurai, CEO, WNS Global BPO Services – Market Maker Award
